Identifying Your Learners

In this section, we will dive in and determine the kinds of learners that are in front of us. Use the simple sheet below to gather information on who it is that you teach.

One way to do this is to start your day with this sheet as a bell ringer. Ask the students, "If we can change anything in this room, what would it be, and why?

Ask then to reflect on a lesson, a project, or even a fun activity, and tell you what could be different, and how can we make this better?

This section can take a period, or a week. Depending on what you are looking for. Another tip is to ask your neighbor. They may not be in your room all of the time, and can offer a "fresh" set of eyes. Maybe you are in high school or are administration, ask each department to look at the space and come up with ideas to consider.

**Administrator tip: It is ok for the space to look and feel fluid and even messy. The days of factory rows are past. We do not want to design a room for yesterday.
